For those that do not know me, I am your ad-hoc tournament director.
Wanted to give you some time to clear your calendar’s for the upcoming tournaments
As far as schedule, there are 4 tournaments that I will take the lead
Packers – Bears challenge with Tannaqua – Saturday, November 22
Fall Classic – Saturday December 6th
SMACK – Saturday, February 7th
Club Championship – Saturday, April 11th
Here are some basic details, but this is more of a “Save the Date” email.
For the tournament against Tannaqua we are on the road this year. Looking for 24 players. We will begin playing around 1 PM and go through dinner time. If you are interested in attending or learning more about it, let me or Pat Laughlin know.
For the Fall Classic, we will be going to the original format where there will be one draw. There will be a draft, and you will be matched with a partner that drafts you or you draft throughout the day. Tournament is open to all players.
SMACK is and A/B tournament. Here, you grab your own partner. You can’t have 2 A players together. I will dictatorily determine whether you are an A or B player. You are welcome to sign up for that tournament now as we decided to open the draw more than a week before the tournament starts. I am still determining the size of the draw, but it typically has 28 teams.
The Club Championship will have 3 flights. The A flight will be the top 16 players who sign up for the tournament based upon ladder rankings. The C flight will be the lowest 12 players based on the ladder. If you are not in the bottom 12 or top 16, you will be in the B draw.
