Green Jacket winners?
On a perfect Friday afternoon, Dan Einhorn and Joe Nelson bested the rest of the field with their thrilling performance at Hidden Glen in Cedarburg. Although the course had more than its fair share of water hazards, both on the course and in the fairways, it was no match for this dynamic duo to win using Stableford Scoring.
“Joe was absolutely bombing his drives and I just didn’t get myself into trouble,” said Einhorn about their win. “We were pretty steady.”
The day was expected to be wet and rainy, but that never materialized. Sunny and hot, but exceedingly pleasant given that few were on the course.
“I couldn’t believe it,” said Nikk Tewalt, “it’s like we had the whole ourse to ourselves.”
Kudos to Eric Zoromski — the driving force behind setting up the tournament — and although the banquet didn’t pull off, the day was certainly a success.
“We need green jackets, like the Masters for the champs,” Mike Farley chimed in, “and I just happen to know where we can get some — just check the ball cabinet in the garage — I don’t think Woody or Crosse will be wearing their’s anytime soon.”
NOTE FROM EZ…
Guys,
I hope you all enjoyed the inaugural Cedar Club Open Golf Championship. I had a great time. Congrats to Einhorn & Nelson on the win, we should recycle some crappy golf trophy – anyone have one?
I think $125 per man will cover expenses since we pretty much skipped dinner. You can Venmo to @ezoromski
See ya’ll at the club!
