thanks for that great piece on a significant accomplishment in my sporting career.
when i told my wife I’d taken over the number 1 spot she had just one thing to say, without any hesitation:
“How does it feel to be ranked number 1?” and as I began to pontificate, she continued… “when everyone knows ‘that one guy’ is way better than you?”
like anything else, the cold hard truth is simply inescapable.
Since you made it to the no.1 spot just in time for the Club Championship, the next question is, “Can you 4-peat with whomever is truly last on the list as your B?”
safe to say this is the ONLY reason I made it to the number 1 spot. the S.H.I.T. system has just shit all over my chances for a 4 peat. In fact, show me your math ‘Shmeeding’ or whoever you are.
Early favorites have to be the 4-10 spot. I’d put my money on Arvy, Deam, and Lynch in that order. That’s the real sweet spot for the B draw, and all three of these guys are (obviously) as good any anyone at the club on their good days.
My strategy to finally gain a Club Championship crown is working.
On a rare serious note, let me be the first person at TCC to ever pay Brock a compliment… He has been balling out lately, and the #1 spot is deserved (but will be taken back after the Club Championship).
Thanks Andrew. And yes, first ever. Actually, a few have said I’m less of an ass than in years past, so that’s kinda a compliment.
On another serious note, most of my victories came with brad brogan at my side. He too has been balling and is deserving of his move from outside the top ten to the # three spot. Lac du courts represent.
