Mark these on your calendar…
TCC Fall Classic: Saturday, December 3rd
Top rated players match up with lowest rated players in a prelude to the Men’s League season. A great opening tournament to see if your ranking is accurate or not. The Top 15 are pretty much in line, but being ranked 16-40 can really challenge your “A” capabilities. And if you’re 41+, what kind of “B” player can you be? If you’re on your game, you could very well be this year’s champion.
Smack!: Saturday, February 4th
Run by TCC legend, Nick Curran, this A-B tournament pits the area’s best against each other… with the caveat that Nick gets to determine if “A” actually means “B”. Regardless of your ability, this tournament is a blast and showcases some of the best paddle in the region, with players from TCC, Tripoli, Milwaukee CC, Town Club and beyond — past members have been known to fly in from all across the country for this one!
TCC Men’s Club Championship: Saturday, March 18th
Seeded like the Fall Classic with Top A’s partnered with Low B’s, after the final rankings of the Men’s League season. It’s the most prestigious to win… and the most difficult. As Wisconsin’s premier platform tennis club, everyone needs to bring their A-game to get to the victory stand for this one.
Wisconsin State Closed – TBD
The best players in the state turn out for this all-day affair… and mere mortals, too! The Closed has both an A and B draw. — so all levels get a minimum of three matches. Find a great partner and find out if you can be a State Champion. Typically in early April… stay tuned for more.
