TOURNAMENT TIME!!!

Don’t let the word “tournament” scare you away. What’s great about paddle is nobody takes it too seriously!! It’s a great excuse to get out of the house, get some exercise, socialize and have a few drinks with some people that maybe used to be good at sports. If that sounds like a good time to you, we have two opportunities coming right up!

SMACK

This is THE social paddle event of the year. It is an A/B tournament. What’s an A player and what’s a B player??  That is as unclear as ever. Bottom line is it is not meant to be taken too seriously. Grab someone to play with, email the commish (Daniel Einhorn DEinhorn@capitalmidwest.com), and get in the tournament!! What’s the worst that could happen? You lose and are forced to eat, drink, and hangout with cool people all day??? 

WHEN: Saturday, February 7th, starting around 9am

ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, 1/23, 8am for favors. Might let stragglers in. 

WHO: Open to all paddlers, WI or other (even IL). No APTA membership required; All levels welcome!

WHERE: The Cedar Club will be the main site. Additional sites will be added as needed.

FORMAT: One draw, several back draws.

INCLUDED: Minimum 3 matches, balls, breakfast, lunch, pizza, beer, favor, camaraderie

Tournament Entry Fee: $70 per person; cash or Venmo.

 

WISCONSIN STATE CLOSED

This is THE competitive platform tennis tournament exclusively for WI residents.

WHEN: Saturday, February 28th. Last year’s evening format went well, tons of people came to watch and hang. Depending on # of entries…likely an afternoon/evening affair again.

WHO: Open to all Wisconsin residents, no APTA membership required; All levels welcome!

WHERE: The Town Club will be the main site. Additional sites will be added as needed.

FORMAT: 16 team Men’s Draw and 16 team Women’s Draw – spots are first come first serve!

INCLUDED: Minimum 3 matches, balls, food, beer, favor

Tournament Entry Fee: $100/team; cash or Venmo (@sara-mackay) to Sara or Erik to reserve your spot
